Proudly Representing the IOW at the British Synchronised Ice Skating Championships

Last weekend saw four Isle of Wight synchronised ice skating teams take on competition from all over the country at the British Championships in Nottingham. With unfailing determination and team spirit, our girls and boy collected silver and bronze medals and two 4th places. Congratulations to coach Terri Smith and manager Janet Valentine as well as all the skaters and their families who have dedicated so much time and effort into achieving these impressive results against all the odds. Interestingly, I witnessed other coaches and skaters applauding our teams and congratulating their incredible fortitude - our rink may have closed but our spirit burns brighter than ever!
